How racers sign up for Trofii texts
Trofii runs the live leaderboards at drag racing events. When a racer gets to the event, the track's tech crew can make their Trofii account for them in the Trofii app. We send that racer one text with a link to finish their account by choosing a password. These texts are only about the racer's own account. We never send marketing texts.
How the racer opts in
The racer gives their mobile number to the tech crew in person, at the tech inspection lane, after the crew tells them what it's for. The crew types it into the Sign up a racer form in the Trofii app, which says right under the number: "We'll text them a link to finish their account."
What the tech crew says
"We'll get you set up on Trofii so your times show up on the leaderboard. What's your mobile number? We'll text you a link to finish your account, just reply STOP if you don't want texts from us."
The racer can also sign up before the event: the event's organizer adds racers from their entry list, and every racer on it gave their mobile number to the organizer when entering the event.
The sign-up form in the Trofii app
The tech crew's screen. The racer's mobile number goes in the Mobile number field, with the note under it that we'll text them a link to finish their account.
Only the event's organizers and the tech crew they invite can open this form.
